There’s more than one way to think a thought

Just learning about how we can think thoughts in ways that serve or diss (notice the “diss”) serve us. Picture it, a thought is thunk, and you yourself can then can choose how to interpret it. Maybe you hear about a friend who gets a new job-is your first thought joy for that person? Is your first thought resentment? We can choose where to sort these thoughts, and in the process, work to reshape the wiring of our brains. This may sound a bit odd, but with meditative practice with a focus (of loving kindness, of appreciation, or a different type-staying in the moment), we can train ourselves and our nervous systems to experience new information in particular ways.

Try it, try a practice of metta meditation of good thoughts for those that are suffering, and joy to all. The research suggests that with practice in meditation, our actual LIVED experiences can change.
